First Look at Disney’s ‘Frozen’

USA Today has debuted five images from Disney’s 53rd animated feature, Frozen. Loosely based on The Snow Queen by Hans Christian Andersen, Frozen follows the adventures of Anna, Kristoff, and his reindeer companion Sven as they travel to find Anna’s sister Elsa, the Snow Queen, and end the eternal winter trapping the kingdom of Arendelle. Featuring the voices of Kristen Bell (Anna), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), and Idina Menzel (Elsa), Frozen will hit theaters on November 27th in 3D.

A silly sketch of River and Eleven in classic/improvised Timelord costumes. Poor Eleven…he can feel the cool draining right out of him. Undoubtedly the real reason he stole a TARDIS and fled Gallifrey all those years ago. XD

The Doctor doesn’t share my opinion of Timelord attire, as he’s spent most of his life defining his own unique and ever-changing sense of fashion (which at times includes twenty-foot scarves and celery sticks and…well, Six, anyone?), and collecting an enormous wardrobe from all over the universe and throughout its history. Anything and everything, I imagine, to avoid having to wear this again. I had way too much fun with this.

Casting appreciation gif.

This seriously pisses me off because TWO men of the “correct” ethnicity/race were asked to play the role of Khan. I don’t remember their names because this back when Into Darkness was in casting yo but they BOTH DECLINED.

So there’s a HUGE difference between “well, we asked the best in the business and they both said no, so we should go with another actor of the ‘incorrect’ race who is also very well suited for the role” and doing what the Hunger Games did which is literally only let white girls audition for Katniss. 

When actors decline there is fuckall you can do. It’s shitty, no doubt, that Khan ended up being white, but BC did a great job in the role, while knowing he was third choice. I won’t begrudge him for taking it, and I won’t begrudge the casting crew for going with him after their best actors declined.
